I am single
 

After 4 years 2 months and 3 days with my boyfriend it is officially over!!

I am sad but I am happy too!

I can be single again! is that good or bad though?

I will miss him alot but we will still be friends (i think) which is all we have seemingly been for the last few months anyway!!

It will get better...sucks at first. I tried the friend bit with a long-term and it didn't work well...bunch of one-sided clingy bullchit not meant to linger...when it's over call it over. Good Luck. :wavey:

I've been single for a looooooong time - it sucks less as time goes on. By the time you've been single as long as I have, it doesn't suck at all :woohoo:

Actually, I don't advocate being single as long as I have, but being single in general isn't so bad. At least till the next special person comes along :)

Suck! Anything is better than being with someone you don't get along with, though.
As far as I can tell, the first 4-6 weeks you miss sex a lot. But then it wears off, it's like you forget what it is like, and then being single isn't that bad. But then if you have sex again, it will take that much time to wear off again. (assuming you only get to have it once, or whatever.).

A good friend of mine and I were just lamenting singledom. But I'd rather stay single forever than settle or stay with someone I know is wrong for me.

Hope you guys stay friends (if that's what you want)! Being single after being relationshipped for a couple of years is hard...hang in there!

I've been single for 4 1/2 years after having been married for 19 years. It sucked at first, but now I gotta say, I really love it!
