Band Face Off - Finals Part 1
 

I decided to finish the Band Face-Off and see it to its conclusion.
I'm sure you were all nervously on the edge of your seats wondering, "I wish I knew just who is the Ledge's favourite musical artist aside from the Mac?"
There are too many winners from the semi-finals so I have divided the winners into groups, male artists, and female artists. The winner from each round will then go up against each other for the Grand Final!!!! The winner of the Grand Final will be crowned the Ledge's favourite. Calm down, I know it's exciting. This thing only started about a year ago.

So first up: the bands. But which is your favourite?

Not an easy choice, but I ended up choosing CCR. Gotta love that unmistakable voice.

I like all of them to a greater or lesser degree, and it came down to the Beatles and Led Zep.

The Beatles just make it for me :)

Chose ABBA. Aside from an abiding love of ABBA, it's also closest to my other favorite band, Erasure (they had a great LP called Abba-esque and have covered five ABBA songs). Oh yeah. I get great looks when I say this...

I like all these bands, but The Beatles have always been in a category all their own for me. As in, there's The Beatles and then there's everyone else.

I went with Led Zeppelin.

CCR all the way. Yeah, the Beatles are groundbreaking and all that and I love the solo efforts of all of the members (even Ringo) but as a band? Meh. They're okay. But I'll take Fogerty and the boys over anything the Brits have to offer.

I went with CCR. I almost picked GnR, as their early work (Appetite For Destruction anyone?) was fantastic. However, Axl's behavior and inability to get anything released in the last 10-odd years skewed my vote.

Axl is a nutjob but I had to pick them cuz they are my favorite out of that group.

I don't really care much for any of them - probably Led Zep if I were forced to choose :shrug:
