Oooh! Vern Yip (formerly of Trading Spaces) is one of the judges! Along with Cynthia Rowley & some other broad.

Poor Alice - she had to design a room in Larry Flint's Hustler Club. :shocked: And I'll bet Ramona's out real quick.

Anyone catch the premiere? Boy was I right about Ramona. I'm all for originality, but painting another contestant's body on the wall even though she asked you not too? tacky. And how is a vacuum cleaner with plaster on it a sculpture? :shrug:

I liked the outdoor space best, and the bedrooms were clean & trendy too.

oooowwwwwwwwww i love vern, i used to be a trading spaces whore, before they screwed the show all up, i will for one be watching, i dvr'ed the 1st episode, can't wait to get the time to watch~

So far, I'm bored. I'm no interior designer, but some of the things they're doing are uninspired and just plain ugly. :shrug:

Jill, I don't know if you've watched yet, so I won't spoil anything else. But IMO on the second show the bedroom was fantastic & the other rooms blew. :( Vern seems annoyed.

Isn't this the same show starting on Bravo at the end of January? I never watched it on HGTV. Was Todd Oldham the host?

the one on bravo is called top design, isn't it? they must've done market testing and found that "top ____" plays well with people. :laugh:

Think of Bravo's core audience. They/we/I love it. I'll be watching!

i'll resist watching it at first, but i'm sure i'll get sucked in. happened with project runway, top chef, housewives of orange county ...

did i say that last one out loud?

I know and do you see how they've pretty much made her the "star" - now SHE's in the middle of all the broads on the previews. :rolleyes:

i noticed that!!!!! i bitched about that to my friends the other night. :laugh: i ****ing hate her. my fav is the one with the straight bangs/straight long hair. i don't remember her name ... she was a real estate ho.
