Aniston opens door to a ‘Friends’ reunion

Actress says a Thanksgiving return episode would be ‘fun’

Well, reunion shows never have been big deal, though some were fine. I'd love to see them again, they were fun, but I think it's too soon. Few years later would be more exciting, though the risk of a failure could be bigger.

I liked the 8 is enough reunion.. not big deal but I liked to see them after few years.

The Dinasty final show, it was necessary. Again it wasn't so good, but the show deserved a real final episode.

I didn't see the Dallas reunion shows. And in Peru they didn't show the NANNY reunion. was it cool? (I read Niles didn't appear cause he was in Broadway

The show just went off the air two years ago. Wait at least 10.

I think they should leave it alone ... don't want to ruin a good thing. The last episode was on the other night again (syndication). Made my eyes well with tears. That was a great show.

Meh. Friends got really lame half way through and never recovered. What's the point of a reunion?

did you catch that episode on Joey (season 2, episode 21) where they mentioned stevie nicks?

I actually didn't mind it TOO much. But Thursday TV got yucky last season ... I didn't care at all for My Name is Earl or The Office. So I wound up not really watching anything on that night. Gone are the days of Thursday must see tv. That is until Grey's Anatomy moves to Thurdays this Fall!!!! I hope I didn't just hijack this thread.

I dunno - I think a Friend's Thanksgiving reunion would be totally fun!

All of the stars are alive and well, as are the writers. It can be set at Monica and Chandler's place in the suburbs...we get a Ross and Rachel update - and Joey can come back East after a failed attempt at Hollywood success heh.

I don't think it's too soon - I LOVED/LOVE Friends up to the last episode - and I would be excited for a reunion.

The first reunion in 1996, "JR Returns," was pretty good. Without much of the original cast, however, it was more like later years Dallas rather than the earlier seasons. 1998's "War of the Ewings" was pretty bad though. At the end of JR Returns, you were led to believe JR and Sue Ellen were getting back together and that the producers were setting up the series to sort of be re-born with John Ross and Christopher being the leaders of the new generation of the Ewings/Southfork/Ewing Oil. War of the Ewings did not have the younger generation at all, as well as Cliff Barnes not being part either.

Some key people were missing that would have made the reunions complete, notably Charlene Tilton, Barbara Bel Geddes, and Howard Keel. Of course, if Victoria Principal would have come back, that would have been huge.

It was nice having Larry, Patrick, and Linda back together, but the three of them alone are not the Ewing's. Last piece of annoyance with War of the Ewings...they did not shoot in the original house which the interior of Southfork was modeled after (on the set) for the show's run from '78-'91. They used the actual interior living room of the ranchhouse...it was completely unbelievable as the Ewing living room after all those years using that set based on another house in Dallas.

A Thanksgiving episode would be cool, but it would be weird not to see them in traditional Monica's apartment or Central Perk. Something would be lost.

You know, the original door (with the yellow frame) is still in a little museum inside Warner studios, in LA. There is also the sofa in a studio replica of Central Perk, I was there last year and I got a pic seated there. Cause the original studio was being used for Joey.

I do too. I would love to see this. My brother is a huge fan too and this, perhaps sadly, would probably make his year. I think this would get huge ratings.

PS, Mmmm... Thanksgiving. ;)
