Is it possible

to make movie clips from DVD's? Ive been wanting to capture bits and pieces of certain DVD's for some time and dont know how to go about it. I have a Mac, and I thought maybe I could somehow use iMovie to do this but the only tips Ive found have been for video film capture???

anybody? how do all those YouTube videos get made?

It is indeed possible & apparently easy. You need rip software. I think you can get some as freeware. With that, you can rip data files from your DVDs--Windows Media, mpeg, I think even Quicktime files.

Bueller? Once you rip data video files, it's apparently very easy to register at YouTube & upload your video.

Check out DVD Extractor v0.9 BETA:

Thanks David. the software you suggested? its now unavailable to anyone in the US after 1/1/06. If you've already got it, thank your lucky stars. I did however find something called MacTheRipper which is freeware....and a few articles that explain the process. I guess Ive got some homework to do!

btw: is Bueller a euphemism for "dork?" or comparable insult type name? Im not as culture savvy as some of you, so please educate me! I asked my question previously in all sincerity, and didnt realize I was being stupid or anything???
