Over used words /phrases
Paula's Tacky Thread got me to thinking about words and phrases that are overused and that I just don't like!
Like: 24/7 Like gentle reminder politically correct You go girl...(what the hell is that about?) think outside the box awesome no worries can I supersize that for ya? plastic/paper preowned vehicles (It is a used car!) have a nice day.....errr anyone else have some they cringe at? |

NOT my bad (man i hate this 1) anything followed by "ism" right on...my brother is guilty of beating this to death~ that is all i can think of right now~ |
I hate when someone says "Kudos!"
There are plenty more, just can't think of any right now. |
words I overuse on a daily basis and even on the ledge:
totally for sure awesome I'm like like (in general) you know really (as a question AND an answer) I mean and even though this is a little OT, I have a habit of making up words...and in my head they sound right, but they are obviously made up. and of course I can't think of an example right now. |
-Bling.
I HATE the word bling. It makes me cringe, and it sounds stupid - and generally, I hate it. -Peeps. ALso SO incredibly stupid sounding "me and my peeps" give me a break - HATE it!!!! |

How does one mispronounce Kudos?? Actually ok - once I was listening to NPR and Robert Siegel said "kuh-doss" I was under the impression it was pronounced "Koo-doze" which is it? |
Phrases I hate:
"pro-active." " I know, right?" "hella" (unless you're referring to the band) |
I'm in agreement with most already posted...add these to them:
"win-win situation" "surreal" |
Hmmm...
"word"-Which word? Do you not know the word? Buy a damn dictionary ya stupid asshole!
|
Sometimes when people call me "Dude" that bothers me, but not always.
|
