would just like to add my comments about the current storm about the Dixie Chicks. I hav watched all of the publicity surrounding the release of the new album. I wanted to hear the new album a lot - was slightly dissaponted with some of it - especially after i heard Rick Rubin was involved. However, ther are some great songs on the album (not ready to make nice, Voices in my head, my favourite year).

Don't know what all of this rubbish is about them possibly cancelling their tour (apart form the fact that it sounds like som anti DC machine in motion!!0

Just watched AOL sessions with DC and was blown away. Natalie Aines is definately the young Stevie Nicks and should start to wear chiffon and top hats - she would win over the dumb ignorant masses then!!!

I love their new cd... I'm no country fan and this isn't really country at all... But I pretty much love the whole thing.

Not sure about the tour cancelling.. I know in some markets tix weren't selling like hot cakes like the last tour... but I think its sporatic - I know they added a second show in toronto cause the first one sold out in 8 minutes.

I am really not much of a country fan myself, but I think the new Dixie Chicks album is AWESOME start to finish. Check it out if you can.

I think they should play smaller venues in the cities that did not sell and tell the pundits to piss off and the reason they are doing it is to bring their shows to their fans and they do not see it as swallowing their pride. Then, they should tell Sean Hannity to kiss their collective a$$es and that he is even more of an embarrasment to this country than W and that is saying a mouthful.

I think the new album is great. My favorite songs are "The Long Way Around," "Easy Silence," "Not Ready to Make Nice," "Everybody Knows," "I hope" and lots of others, but those are my favorites. I hope to see them on tour, I think this album is their best yet, and I'm so glad it debuted at #1 and is still at #1, that should show them. The Dixie Chicks made an announcement on their site that they would NOT be cancelling their tour as was rumoured...rock on to the Chicks! Love them
