Blondie/Cars
 

So I went and saw Blondie and the new Cars last night with Todd Rundgren. Blondie was excellent, with a special treat thrown in. They did one of my favorite songs, More Than This by Roxy Music. Debby's got this strawberry blonde look these days, and she looks pretty good. The Cars with Todd Rundgren really kicked ass. I'd never seen Todd Rundgren live before, and I wasnt dissapointed.

They'll be here next week and I am not yet sure if I am going. I really want to but can't afford it. But I really want to. But I can't afford it. :lol:

My friend Craig was my sugar daddy for the night, so I rode his coattails.:lol: He's wanted to do soemthing like that for me ever since I took him to see Fleetwood Mac 2 times in Iowa in 2004.

He's been an indispensable friend to me for about 3 years now. I dont know what I wouldve done without him in my life.:)

did they sing any of rundgren's songs?, i just got his greatest hits & it is FAB!!!~ glad you had fun!!!:wavey: ~

They did Bang On The Drum and one other hit of his I've heard before, I cant remember the name right of hand,

I know I should know the name of it, but it was sort of a more light song, and I have heard it on the radio before.

I must admit I was a bit surprised when I stumbled on the the New Cars webiste last week. Didn't think that sort of thing would be Todd's bag.

Still, we live in an age where Dylan does lingerie commercials....

Have you heard the New Cars single that is out? It's pretty good, has the Cars sound still. :nod: I love the Cars, though.

I had always heard that the Cars pretty much stunk live. Glad to hear they didn't, or maybe it's cause it's Todd vs. Ric that made them kick ass. I always thought Ric was a great singer, but I had heard from pretty hardcore fans that live, they were "eh."

More than this is a MAJORLY great song though, so kick ass treat/bonus. Ah, to see Roxy live...THAT would be cool!

That tour totally escaped me, and I am so bummed. Thankfully seeing "LIVE" and then Madonna, made up for missing Blondie. Atleast I have seen and met (hate me much :p ) Deb a couple of times. Next up....fingers crossed...NIN w/ Bauhaus (of which I am SURELY misspelling as I always do...damn foreign word. LOL)
