MSN chat sw gurus, question
 

A relative is asking me about a free software that logs every chat conversation in a PC, I have found a couple of tools but they are depending on the user, I mean the user activates the logging. I want something active all the time and transparent for the user (is for his children, you know).

Does anyone about a tool like that?

I remember downloading one a few years ago, and it crashed my computer. -_-

MSN Messenger has this option built in, though. If you go to Tools > Options > Messages (in the little sidebar thing), and then check the box next to "Automatically keep a history of my conversatons" then select the folder you want them saved in. (Maybe something under a different name where the kids won't look, but the parents will know to check under)

Messenger Plus has a logging feature attached it, it logs all conversation in a notepad file, organised by email address...it doesn't work with Messenger Beta atm though.
