VISITING heart-throb Jesse Metcalfe wasn't only chasing local girls while he was in Sydney – the TV toyboy gardener struck up a link with Girls Aloud beauty Nadine Coyle.

Confidential hears the Desperate Housewives hunk took a particular liking to UK girl band singer after meeting her in the Four Seasons.

Metcalfe, 27, and Coyle, 20, went out to dinner on Friday night before following it up with drinks at nightspot Hemmesphere, where singing legend Stevie Nicks was also propping up the bar.

The date was a dream come true for the Irish glamour girl, who ironically revealed in a recent interview that she had a crush on the US actor.

"I'm definitely not looking for a relationship, but if the gardener from Desperate Housewives were to ask me out, I wouldn't say no," she said.

I'm a little confused about whether you mean just picturing the whole scene in general, or what they said about Stevie "propping up the bar." If it's the second then don't worry, I think maybe they're just phrasing things in a certain way for "shock value."

But personally if my Dad had just died and I was in a strange country 12,000 miles from home, I'd be UNDER the bar, not on it. Frankly I'd PROBABLY be going right for the straight vodka, no ice. I really don't blame her for having a drink or two right now - or three, or four. She's not a "teatotaller," as we already know, and she's a "big girl."

I find this interesting as Stevie had performed in newcastle that night... true she did fly back to sydney... but that would of been a really late night!

That sounds bizarre. Stevie hitting a nightclub after a gig? (and after she flew back to Sydney?) Maybe they have the wrong night. :confused:

All I know is if I walked into a bar to have a nightcap and saw the hottie Metcalfe, then turned around and saw Stevie Nicks, I'd probably have stroke.
