My mix of "Juliet" and "Book of Miracles"
Are you aware of the similarities between these two songs? It appears that "Book of Miracles", which was released as a B-side to "Seven Wonders", is really an instrumental version of "Juliet".
I made a mix of this instrumental and a demo of "Juliet" that Fleetwood Mac was working on for Tango in the Night. I hope you think it is interesting. Ideally, I would have only added Stevie's vocals to the instrumental, but I don't know if it is possible to isolate the vocals on a song. I did this using Audacity, which is free music editing software. http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1...91DCQJACLBA4LO Notes: I could not get them both to have exactly the same beats per minute, so towards the end, it goes out of sync. I can't figure out how to make mp3 files with Audacity, so this is a wav file. |
According to wikipedia, 'Juliet' is actually 'Book of Miracles' in its completed form.

I don't think so. Even the words "Book of Miracles" are taken straight out of "Juliet". And I don't think Stevie has ever written lyrics to music that Lindsey had already created.

I have an interview Stevie did for Rockline back in 1989. A caller stated that "Book" and "Juliet" sounded very similair and Stevie confirmed they were the same song.
But it is strange that "Book" is listed as being co-written by Stevie and Lindsey and "Juliet" is listed as Stevie alone. |

I guess Buckingham was not crazy about this song!Bruce Hornsby was pretty good on Juliet. |
Aww, I couldn't get it. It said too many downloads for today. I'll try again tomorrow. I'd really love to hear this.

It's no longer there. Can someone please repost this? :)
