What if S & L weren't hired by FM?
 

Ever wonder what would have happened to Stevie Nicks and Lindsey if Mick Fleetwood had not come calling? Would Buckingham/Nicks have made it on their own? Would Stevie have gone solo and eventually made it big? (When the FM call came she was already 27, oldish by rock standards)

Stevie has been asked this question and as far as I know has given ambigious answers. Sure speculation I know.

Here is my opinion. LB would have a become a studio guitarist, nothing more. Stevie may have made a brief Carole King-like splash with her songwriting.

Stevie was a very lucky person (talented, but lucky nonetheless). There are a lot of talented musicians roaming the streets of LA.

Lindsey would have become an underwear model and then once the fame from that fizzled he would make a mold of his penis and it would become the most successful sex toy in Japan.

Stevie would enter the world of ballet. She would reach great heights as a prima ballerina before marrying a hot Democrat and settling in upstate New York. She then opens her own store full of candles, crystals and children's books.

ON EDIT: Stevie frequently plays small clubs here and there, no one ever really sure what her setlist is as it changes constantly. Some even criticize her for playing too many obscure songs. She attends every pride event in the country and is a very loud voice for the nation's glbt community. Lindsey works on his solo debut for 27 years before he panics that someone may leak a demo. He burns all the masters and is commited.
