Stevie mention on Project Runway
 

On tonight's PR, the designers are making a dress for Nicky Hilton. One of the designers looks at another's dress and comments, 'That looks like Stevie Nicks.'

'Who's Stevie Nicks?' is the reply...

....and her dress ended up hideous.

Better than my date replying "isn't she dead?" when I mentioned I love Stevie Nicks.

It was a pretty bad dress... But, they show made the girl look pretty dumb for not knowing who Stevie is. When the girl said "who's Stevie Nick[s]," the show the other designers giving her crazy looks and the music sort of skips...I thought it conveyed a "how can she NOT know that" sort of message.

I saw it after you guys and I heard her say "what's Stevie Nicks?" but then again I've never had the best hearing (as opposed to who's Stevie Nicks). Whatever the case she came off as a total dumbass. When the judges mentioned the bottom of the dress would make the girl look like she has a big a** with all the layers I immidiately thought of the SYW skirt.

Was that the immediate end of date? My coworker always teases me with, "Who is he?"

or better yet, when someone who always kisses your ass finds out you like Stevie Nicks and says "oh yeah, I love him" and I'm like "RIIIIIGHT"

thats happend to me way too many times, but it makes me want to hit them, and if its not that its the ones who say "yea i love stevie, landslide is great" and im like "what other songs of hers do u like", and they are speachless (we can think the dixie chicks for that one :)) i wana guy to like me who is ok with not knowing who stevie is!!!!!!

and yea, the show made the girl look like a dork for not knowing who stevie is, and if only the skirt would have been longer...it would have been o so hot (stevie would approve)

I Tivo'd it, can't wait to watch later. Project Runway is my new guilty pleasure TV show. Love it. :nod:

Pretty much. We ended up becoming good friends though so it wasn't a total loss. I started dating this new person right after I got the Red Rocks DVD a few years back and for the first couple of months while we were seeing eachother we'd go out and drink and go back to my place and I'd force her to watch the DVD. I swear we watched it at least 20 times and poor thing never complained :laugh:.
