I've been in contact with Neal Preston before about buying his prints, I even spoke to him on the phone once. He is very stand-offish and his mind seems to be elsewhere when he speaks to you. I *think* he could care less about selling his work privately (he doesnt NEED the money)...and yet, he offers it on his website. I don't get it.

That FROSTS my cake when I hear them like that. I just recently emailed the collage guy for the Tusk album. Asked if he signed any prints. Got some SNOTTY as hell response from "his people." You know THEY are not the stars. Bless em and their work, but screw em and their attitudes. Were it not for the jobs they do w/ out beloved Macsters, they'd be missing a big chunk of admirers. :shrug:

You're right. I just wanted to say "You're a photographer for Chrissake!"...I mean, I know there is an art form and it requires talent...but you're not out saving lives or anything. I think a lot of them adopt the attitude of the people's photographs they are taking. Oh well.

It is indeed an art form. I mean I have heard some pretty mean things about HWW, but would still be honored to meet him, as I think he's got artistic vision when working w/ Ms. Nicks. I'd be peeved if he were a jerk...but, whatcha gonna do???? lol

I appreciate you guys letting me make mention of it too! I would never have invaded "board" space were it not for some really great photos that I'd like to see other LB fans get their hands on!
