Plane accident in Chicago

I saw the footage of the Southwest plane on the street this morning. SO bizarre. I felt so bad for that little kid that died.:distress: I cant imagine what the driver of the car though when they saw a plane coming right at them. Seriously, I've driven by that airport before, and I'm surprised this hasnt happened before, its so crowded and packed in there.

What a horrible accident. I can't imagine what people thought when they saw that plane coming at them either. And a child died right before Christmas. It just breaks my heart.
Midway is usually my airport of choice when flying to Chicago. It's easy to get in and out of. But the runways are short and I've always had the freakiest landings. One time the plane literally bounced like a ball on the runway when we landed. :distress:

Yikes!! I have been very lucky in that whenever I'vew flown, I've had very few problems, knock on wood. My mother has a friend though that was on the United flight from Denver to Chicago in '89 that crashed in Sioux City. SHe survived cause she was near the back. Remember that one?

Yep. I remember it very well. Glad to hear your mother's friend made it through that.

The only time this person ever talked about it was when they told me that all they remembered was a hard landing and then their end of the plane breaking off and coming to a stop. I know I wouldnt be able to handle that.
