Importing a Mac CD

I have an iPod & I've never encountered a problem importing a CD using iTunes before except now. I'm trying to import Disc #1 from The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac, but I can't seem to do it. I had no trouble with Disc #2, but since Disc #1 is a little different, that is different stuff is on this one besides the music, I can't get it to import. The only thing I see on it is a "ReadMe" file & the requesting on how to handle the CD doesn't come up.

Can anyone help me out please?

Thanks,

Lee :distress:

I'm sure this sounds like a stupid solution, but sometimes just restarting your computer will help. For whatever reason, it might not be recognizing the music files at the moment, but sometimes it'll sort itself out after a good restart.

Is that video thing still coming up when you put in Disk 1? Because the same thing happened to me. What I did was to make it so that I could choose what program I wanted to run the CD in, instead of opening up the Extra Features or playing it on my default audio player (MusicMatch Jukebox, etc...). That way you can select what you want the CD to do. So when the little screen pops up and asks what you want to run the CD with, pick iTunes. Of course, you always just make iTunes your default...

If that doesn't work, you can always go into My Computer and to whatever drive your CD-ROM is (mine is the D drive). Go to the files, right click, and do "Open with...". Then select iTunes.

Hope that made sense.

Thanks for your help. In case anyone else has problems, here's what I did. I exited when the Fleetwood Mac screen came up. I then opened iTunes since it wouldn't open automatically. I saw the songs there from Disc 1. I noticed a little circle on the upper right hand side of iTunes that said "Import CD". I clicked on that, & it started importing! :blob2: Then I did my album art & I'm all ready to download to my iPod.

Lee :)
