Stevie's Grammy Nomination for POTU in 2002

Does anyone remember when Stevie was nominated for a Grammy in 2002 for Best Rock Performance by a Female Artist, for Planets of The Universe? Who was she up against, and who actually won? The only thing i know about the nomination is that Stevie should have been the one to win that Grammy for POTU!

Lucinda Williams won. I'm not sure who else was nominated.

Lucinda Williams won for "Get Right With God." Great song! Melissa Etheridge was also nominated but I don't remember for what song. And I think PJ Harvey was nominated, but I could be wrong about that one.

Here is a history of the Grammy awards.

The interesting thing I remember about the Grammy's in 02, of course this award was not part of the televised ceremony..so backstage before the actual televised ceremony Lucinda was being interviewed and even commented that "It's not even a rock song" and thought it was weird that she had won...

"Strange Little Girl" by Tori Amos
"I Want To Be In Love" by Melissa Etheridge
