No-Boil Lasagna Noodles SUCK

Really, they do. I decided to try them out for the first time tonight. I would not suggest them to anyone. The texture is all wrong - they feel like...I don't know, but it certainly doesn't seem like pasta I've been chewing!

Anyway.

Yuck. They also sound awfully processed.

I can't imagine such a thing. My mother still makes these huge ten-pound six-layer monster lasagnas every Christmas Day. Two pounds of sausage, 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, three liters of tomato sauce, and enough ricotta and mozeralla cheese to give a Bottlenose Dolphin a heart attack. Accept no substitutes! :D :xoxo:

I have tried the rice that is 'ready to eat' in those microwavable bags....and those are foul as well. a very strange flavor and texture.

All of that no-cook **** is disgusting. I was in the regular old supermarket the other day, which I never set foot in because I try to eat healthy, and was appalled at packaged beef that was already cooked and just waiting to be warmed up. Just hanging there in a plastic package for you to pluck off the hook. People buy that ****? Vile. Just vile. I'll stick with Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

What brand did you use? I use Barilla and they're delicious.

They were Barilla. I love their pasta, but I will buy regular noodles and boil them to my heart's content in the future.

Are you serious!? I've never heard of pre-cooked beef in a bag!... Sounds pretty gross! How fricken lazy do you have to be to buy that ****!

Well, they have the pregrilled chicken breast strips in the bag - and they are not that bad.

I kid you not. I even looked it up when I got home.

But at least that **** is refrigerated. This stuff is not. It just hangs there...in the aisle...on a hook...at room temperature.

I thought the Barilla no boil noodles had a texture closer to homemade pasta than the boil kind. My roommate loves my lasagna too, well everyone does. My homemade meatballs are the "secret" ingredient. Mmmm...

That's crazy, it takes all of 10 minutes to cook it!

I think it is essentially the same method as that used to make beef jerky. Lots of salt I guess.
