Why?

This is the shiitiest single she ever croaked out in the studio!!!!!

Stevie you didn't get a decent producer for "Listen To The Rain" and release it as a single because???????

Were you scared it would be a huge hit??????

Hollywood HOB show? What is that? This sounds pretty good. However, I could only open it to play it, it would not let me save it as an MP3. Dang it ...

HOB=House of Blues / West Hollywood

And yeah, it sucks that it's a .wma file.

stevierocks87 10-22-2005 11:40 AM

um....how about "thank you for going through the trouble of sharing this with us"? geez.

so, thanks from me! that is a great show--I love the funky little intro!

:wavey: adam :wavey:

Thanks for sharing the track, desertangel! :xoxo: :wavey:

And for anyone who needs to, dBPowerAMP converts wma files into mp3s quickly and painlessly. :)

My version of Winamp plays WMA files very well -- v5.x. But you have to associate it with WMA files.

Also, this isn't a soundboard. Do you all know what a soundboard is? This is a radio broadcast. HOB is the House of Blues, a club. This was recorded in 1994.

Oh it's not that. I just hate Microsoft anything. But very cool that someone shared this great live track. I already have it anyway as a mp3.

desertangel 10-22-2005 03:01 PM

Geeze... thanks for sharing that info David. You're a regular well-spring of information. I'm just going by what the record seller guy told me.

Also, the WMA was the best I could do. It took 3 hours just to get that one song ripped. I'm on the phone with Gateway because now my laptop won't rip or burn anything and playback has clicks throughout. Not to mention all my previous problems with the soundcard.

Ya, I know bi*ch, bi*ch, bi*ch... whatever. :distress:

Laura

PS: You're welcome, Adam. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I knew there was at least one person here who wanted to hear ROF live.

Yes and it also contains many overdubs, if you have heard the original recording

That's all right, Laura. I hope there isn't a problem with correcting info when it can be corrected. It doesn't reflect on the person who shares, does it? That would be really silly, if it did.

Is it better not to say: "it's from 1994, not 1995"? I guess if today's fans don't care when it's from, it doesn't matter. My experience is of fans in the old days, who did care. So I'm in the habit of correcting details when I can, or of tuning in to others who correct details when they can. I know that when I put something up & somebody has additional info, I'm extremely glad to hear it. As long as that person doesn't run over my puppy dog, I'm very happy to get more info on a mislabeling.

Thank you so much, desertangel. What a great version of this song. :)

Not at all. The label on this CD reads "House of Blues Hollywood California 9/19/95" so not my fault if I'm quoting wrong information. I just went on what was printed on the CD and what the seller told me. I never bothered to research and find out if that was true or not because frankly I don't have that kind of time. I have a very busy life. I do like to pop onto the Ledge once in awhile just to see what's going on and learn new things and hear things I've never heard before. I've replied many times and even emailed you personally saying how grateful I am that you are here sharing all of your information with us, so I don't see that we have a problem here, do you? And yes, I do know what a soundboard is.

By the way, the first song listed on my CD is "Only In a Dream" which is really "Outside the Rain" - oh well.

And I'm really sad that this CD no longer plays because I was going to post Rhiannon. I thought it was a good performance because she had the growl, maybe one of the last times she had the growl. Heck, I've tried everything... reinstalled the software thinking my player/burner went bad from playing this new Monopoly game, even used Pledge on the CD... won't work. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to burn a copy before it peckered out on me. I did tape it when I first bought it, before I had a burner. Sigh... sometimes I really hate technology.

Anyway, carry on... :D

Your CD crapped out? Can I send you my "Welcome to My World" CD? It's the same show. I don't want it any more.
