Rob Thomas sings Stevie at concert!

Hello everyone,

I was at the Rob Thomas show on sunday in Pittsburgh and Rob Thomas and his backup singer sang Stop Dragging My Heart Around. I was skeptical at first but it was really really good. I was so impressed. The backup singer had an amazingly soulful voice but it rocked! I couldnt believe it when he did this song. He must be a Stevie fan. LOL!!

Anyway, if any of you are Rob or Matchbox Twenty fans go see him on his solo tour. He really puts 150% into the show.

I believe he also performed SDMHA with Joss Stone at the Fashion Rocks concert that kicked off Fashion Week in New York last month.

He's in my area next month. Unfortunately I'm broke after buying Tix for Gwen and Depeche Mode (also next month). :(

I've seen matchbox twenty twice though, and you're right he's awesome in concert...

Damn...I was going to go to his Pittsburgh show, too. grrrrr....

You were going to go to the pittsburgh show? Dammit! I ended up having 2 extra 7th row tickets for that show that I had to give away because I couldnt find anybody to buy them from me. I found front row center the day of the show and had to get those so that is how I got the extra ones.

I would love to see Gwen in concert. She never comes near Pittsburgh and I have seen Depeche Mode once when I was younger and they were amazing!

Rob Thomas was in Matchbox Twenty? I didn't know that.

Wait - my Gwen shows are the first 2 days of Dec., I think. Where are you seeing her??

About Rob Thomas: I'm glad he sang it with someone who could sing this time.

My mistake. The San Jose show is November; I'm going to Oakland arena on December 1st.

I'll check for the sarcastic looking pissed off funny gay guy. How's that?
hehehehehe. :xoxo:

We should tell seats sometime before we go, and say hi. Last time I was at the arena, I snuck in through a door that led from the outside smoking area. Not that that is relevant. Anyway, I like the sound there.

LOL! Yeah, I'll be the one constantly rolling his eyes for no apparent reason. :wavey:

I haven't been to that venue since the SYW show in 2003. I had so-so seats, so I coudln't really see much but you're right about the sound .

That's exactly the show I was referring to.:D I didn't have great seats, either, but then, they were free. (yes, yes, I'm a bad person, my friend convinced me to sneak in, blah blah. I sure made up for it in 2004).

anyway, perhaps I'll see you.:) I'll be the bouncy girl.
