Did anyone watch? Faith Hill was great...and very beautiful (love the brown hair). Also, wow! That Lori McKenna is going to make a name for herself. She has mad songwriting skills (she wrote three of the songs off of Faith's new CD "Fireflies). Lori also performed a little bit of the song "Ruby's shoes" about a guest on Oprah's show years ago...the song made Oprah cry! I'll post the lyrics, and after reading, I think you will understand why she cried...

Wow, I didn't know that. I wasn't really paying attention to the whole show (kids come home from school right in the middle of the show, the nerve of them :laugh: ). Exactly, how did that woman get hooked up with Faith?

Well, someone who works for Faith brought her one of her songs (If You Ask) and Faith just was hit by the lyrics and just how "human" they were and also the emotional characteristic of her writing. So Faith, almost done with her album, put a stop to EVERYTHING just so she could record that song and she told them to bring her ALL of Lori's songs because she fell in love with her songwriting. So she ended up cutting three of Lori's tracks for Fireflies.

Hmmm, you know, somebody else brought one of her songs to Faith, too (Better Days). BTW, was Bekka in Faith's band yesterday?

Yes...Bekka sings A LOT with Faith now! On Faith's "Cry" album she is on EVERY track and wrote two of them!
