Love Goddess of Rock, For Ever & Ever . . . .

Backstage at Cal Jam 2 with Bob & Robin et al.

WOW< those are HOT I love her hair like that.

That is one of my favorite Stevie performances ever. Who's the guy helping Stevie down the stairs?

Oh my gosh--YEAH!!! :blob2: I love love love this performance--one of my ALL time favs!! Thanks for posting those pix!!! :wavey:

How cool! I think I remember hearing promos for that show on the radio. It looks like it was a great show.

Look, Robin is wearing the moon necklace! Awww, Stevie is wearing white espadrilles. Cute.

Thanks for showing these.

Holy crap! Those pics are amazing. I wish I'd been old enough to actually experience the 70s in all their glory...

I have a 57-MB video file, but I have no idea where or how to post it! I only just now learned about PhotoBucket!

Is that Pat Benatar in the front? And that dude on the left - looks like an extra off the set of Boogie Nights. Scary! LOL Stevie looks great! Thanks for posting! :wavey:

good eye! yup, i think that is Pat

Nah it's not her Cal Jam 2 was the spring of 1978 .Pat was still performing at Catch a Rising Star in New York then and was over a year away from her first record.

Right on! I was there... who else was? Who cares if I'm giving away my age... SEriously, we were sitting sooo far away the only time we could tell who was on stage was when the wind shifted in the right direction and we could hear some sound. I recall hearing Dreams and saying "Oh Fleetwood Mac is on stage now." Also remember the people sitting on top of the porta-potties with signs "ACID $1.50" - There are VHS tapes out there of this show, I don't have one, but it's on my list.

Thanks for sharing these pictures. It's nice to know what I missed seeing at the Ontario Motor Speedway. Looks like this was pre-Margi Kent days. They probably didn't have quite enough money yet.

Laura

That dude on the left looks like Kevin Kline- straight from the set of "Pirates of Penzance"  . I was too young back in the day... but was that, like, considered to be a really hip look, or was that funny even for its time??

Somehow I don't think it is. Pat's debut album didn't drop until 1979, and even then, she wasn't exactly a household name. She didn't really hit the big time until 1981. She does look a lot like her though...

THanks for posting those pictures Dave. She looks amazing.

I wanna know who that goofball blonde boy was that interviewed Mick, Bob and Stevie after their performance. I couldnt decide who was higher, Mick Stevie of this guy.
