They kick ass.

I can honestly say I HAVE NEVER heard of this group until you mentioned liking them...I originally went to the sight to read the Liz Phair interview but then saw that and thought I would let you know! :wavey:

What type of music is it?

Meh, I don't know what I'd call them. Dance rock sounds cheesy but I suppose that's what I'd call them. Though their new album is very different from their first one, it's a weird amalgamation of Bowie, Blondie, and The Beatles all rolled up together.

I heard Stars and Planets from Phair's new album and that tune rocks. Love it.

I'll have to check them out...

Yea I like "Stars and Planets"! Where did you hear it? It seems like Liz Phair is the new "real" Sheryl Crow? LOL

I can't stand most current bands, but they are most definitely the exception to the rule. They're right up with the Mac and Blondie for me; love them.

I downloaded the album from a bit torrent site to see if it was worth buying and it was the first track I played. I'm digging it and will more than likely pick it up next week.

If Sheryl continues on the current path to mediocrity that she's on, we're going to need a new one. I caved and bought the limited edition of Wildflower and felt like I had been ripped off; the "acoustic" songs on the second disc are the exact same as the album songs without all the bells and whistles. BORING.

Well.....yeah. But you've done even more for Blondie. I'm going to try and find our letters to Deb about that.

Deb hasn't reported us to the USPS for harassment over all of those letters yet?

Well I like wildflower pretty good, which I already explained...BUT I DIDN'T get the special edition (too much!). A&M needs to get with the much-more-cheaper "Dual Disc"...COULD YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me the acoustic songs????!!!!

BTW...Sheryl said that she has another album coming out next year after the tour for this one...that is more her "norm"!

Haha, not yet, I don't think. But you never know. :p

I haven't had luck finding them. I think they're in one of the "What Are You Listening To" threads, so that means they're probably burried.

They've only done two albums; their first one is self-titled and their second comes out on Tuesday called "You Could Have It So Much Better." Both are fab and I'm sure they'll be on sale and you could get both for $20 or less.

I love the DualDiscs. The ones I have for Blondie's "Curse" and Bowie's "Reality" are amazing (didn't notice much of a difference with Carly Simon's new album); they sound like different albums in 5.1 stereo. And the DVD extras kick.

I already tried to rip the acoustic songs but couldn't because it's a DVD.
