Band Face Off - Round 8

Seems most of you agree with Brian Wilson-fan Lindsey, as the Beach Boys stomped over the competition with 21 votes to The Kinks' 10 votes and The Byrds' modest nine votes.

Round 8 sees some musical gods up against each other, as suggested by Gerald. I have no clue who to vote for I love them all! But who will you choose?

The results so far
Round 1: Petty defeats Springsteen - 35 to 17
Round 2: Led Zeppelin defeats The Who - 22 to 18
Round 3: Madonna defeats Sheryl Crow/Kate Bush - 24 to 12/10
Round 4: The Beatles defeat Rolling Stones/U2 - 22 to 15/13
Round 5: Guns N Roses defeat Bon Jovi/Metallica - 16 to 13/12
Round 6: Heart defeat Blondie/The Pretenders - 22 to 14/6
Round 7: The Beach Boys defeat The Kinks/The Byrds - 21 to 10/9

The polls are still open, vote now!

Tough one. I love Johnny Cash....but Elvis is the King. :D

I like 2 of the 3...

(Absolutely hate Elvis), So it was a tossup between Cash & Orbison...But I picked Roy.

Plus both Stevie and Johnny like wearing black.

Johnny Cash rules. That is all.

I love Johnny, but mama brainwashed me on Elvis.
His rendition of Dixieland/Glory Glory Hallelujah brings me to tears every time.

My favorite Elvis cover is when Eric Crartman did one of "In the Ghetto" on south park. :D

I had to vote for Elvis. I grew up listening to him at all the family parties. So his music brings back many memories :)

Roy didn't?

Very good point.

The REAL jailhouserock for me, please

This time I will vote against Lindsey's taste. Although Orbison is a great, great place nr. 2 for me, it is Johnny Cash this round. Apart from his brilliant early work, later on the man did fantastic covers: f.i. Nine Inch Nails-song Hurt. But what took me down to the ground was his brilliant version of Soundgardens Rusty Cage.
Besides, I hate peanutbutterandbananasandwiches.

I really don't care for any of them. So I flipped a coin. Elvis won.

Sharon, you are truly evil for making me choose between these three. Presley is a Capricorn, I am a Capricorn and we Capricorns stick together. Plus, I love him. ;) How's that for reasoning?

Dude, that's an Elvis song?
