Fun with quicktime
Apologies in advance for forum on-topic Nazis-ahem, purists
I recently discovered the joys of listening to my Stevie material using Quicktime 7 on my Mac. Now for all I know it has the same great features on Windows. But on the mac, if you hit Window --> show A/V controls, it lets you alter, among other things, the speed of the mp3. I've often heard of users wishing they could to this to many a Stevie song -Silver girl, anyone? Some other suggestions:
Now of course, you can't save the tracks. But would you really want to? I don't think its a good idea to permanently alter a song that ultimately the artist chose to make a certain speed. But a little fun with Quicktime now and then never hurt anyone ;) Enjoy... and post your favorites here! |
I have to check this out, I use Winamp with all the plugin's that can do alot of effects like that without any rendering time, like Cooledit Pro or Sony Soundforge editing software which takes forever to render.

I give it about a month before a certain someone takes your advice, and begins selling "newly found demo's" on Ebay. Anyone laughin' w/ me? Any bets being placed? :p

Heh heh, I totally wouldn't be surprised. Just wanted to say I tried this, and it is so awesome. My sister was cracking up, because it sounded kind of like Stevie was rapping, and I was dancing around like a complete spaz. fun stuff. So, yeah, SillyDreamer, great idea! Thanks!
