Blazing Saddles

you know, no matter how many times I've seen this movie,(like at least 10) I never fail to cry because I'm laughing so hard. It's by far the funniest movie I've ever seen, but it would never be abke to be made today because it's so politically incorrect.

I love it. Hedley Lamarr instantly became an idol for me. :D

One of my all-time favorites. I like most anything with Gene Wilder.

I think the ending is kinda weak, though.

burton gilliam(lyle)... he is such a sweetheart...
when i worked for a golf company i set him up
with his clubs, equip, etc...he sent me his picture
with a very sweet note...he did an infomercial for us too...
very funny man...and a genuinally sweet person.

"WHERE ARE ALL THE WHITE WOMEN AT?"

"Hang on a second while I whip this out!"

"Sorry about the 'up yours, n***er'! But, you WILL have the decency not to mention that I spoke you, right?"

The brother of a close friend of mine back in HS was a projectionist at a local theatre when Blazing Saddles was released. The projectionist booth was the ideal "get high" spot, so we'd go to the theatre, sit in the booth, get stoned & watch the movie three or four times a night...I think within the first two months of its release, I'd seen it about 35 times.

I saw this movie for the first time years ago, and now own the DVD. It's the funniest movie, I love it, and I can recite the whole thing almost, by heart! I had no idea that Richard Pryor helped write it!

My fav. is when the townswoman reads the speech "WEEEEEEEEEEE THE CITIZENS . . . . "

 Another one is when Mongo says "Mongo only pawn in game of life."

I hate it. I've always hated it. I always will hate it. It does not amuse me in the least bit. And I'm not sorry.
