Brown relieved of Hurricane Katrina duties
I just found out that Brown is being sent back to Washington to oversee "other" issues and handing over the responsibility of overseeing FEMA with respect to Katrina to a Coast Guard official. Of course, they are saying that it's needed so he can tend other problems, but maybe it's a reaction to all of the criticism. Also learned that when Brown said he DID have experience overseeing an emergency management dept. in Oklahoma, he was actually an intern and no dept. heads reported to him. Brown was sure to state he is still the "director of FEMA" - well, maybe not for long. Of course, all of this you have to take with a grain of salt I guess...
What do you make of this?
