I saw dead people

Ok, I was watching FOX today and Shepard Smith was on the I-10 in Downtown New Orleans, and they were showing dead bodies laying on the highway. Man if that doesnt get you, nothing will. :(

There are dead people lying inside the Superdome as well. Not to mention those floating in the water. It's horrifying.

Well...

it will get worse before it gets better...Saw an elderly woman dead in her wheelchair, At least someone cared enough to leave a message with her body stating who she is.

Bill O'Reilly is ripping folkz on the fact that officials took 4 days to try to restore order, When he spoke to a New Orleans resident who is still in the French Quarter district, the resident said that "Jesus would come before help does", And this person lives right next door to the police HQ.

This resident did say one thing, that if you think about it, that is true:

"23% of all energy for the U.S. comes from this area of Louisiana....If they do not send help soon, then this county is screwed!"

You know, that person that left the note on the Dead ladys wheelchair, sometimes little things like that go unnoticed. But If that helpe her family to find her sooner, as far as I'm concerned, whoever that person is is a saint.

great..that makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. well...I'm not going to complain if something happens..(sh*t..who am I kidding..yes I will*L* ) buuuuut.....compared to what they are going thru...it's a walk in the park. I just keep thinking-I'm sitting here in the comfort of my home...posting on a Fleetwood Mac message board, and there are people that can't eat, drink, use the bathroom. it's sad :(

Well, I have had feelings of guilt here as well. I mean for the last week here, its been sunny and 75. I am soooo thankful for what I have.

You know, we all will feel guilty from time to time about this situation. I hope that this is a wakeup call to all of us that it can go at any time, and we should take stock everyday and appriciate the little things.

Yeah - I feel silly complaining about little things now - there is so much that we take for granted.

I thankfully, have not seen any images of the dead - what's really getting me is the rapes that are taking place at the convention center :distress: Seems like anarchy really is taking over there...

This whole thing is just awful.

Which is kind of hard now that the criminals have guns too :distress:

I mean - today there was news of sniper shots to a hospital - and helicopters..wtf!?! It's all so tragic...

If they are showing images of the dead, that's in incredibly poor taste, it's disrespectful, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

estranged4life 09-01-2005 08:05 PM

I had a headstart...

but I am afraid there's going to be more of the dead shown.

I am sure looters will start to kill one another (I have no problem with looting items such as food/water to survive...But brand new 2005 Cadillacs and DVD/stereo systems???), This is slowly turning into a "Bloodbath in Paradise".
