It's gettin CRAZY out here!!!!
 

Holy guacamole~!!!!
I'm from East Texas...about a 20 minute drive from good ole Louisiana... My Dad and my cousin and I are standing outside checking out the crazy storm clouds, wild wind, and sudden drop in temp.... when suddenly we hear this loud moaning crack... and then BAM.. a friggin oak tree falls right on top of my mom's car! This wasn't a baby oak either... it was a big oak.. and it was a crazy experiience... it's getting wild out here.
Our little town is packed with all the good people from the Bayou... I feel so terrible and helpless... hotels are packed... if our house wasn't crammed full of family and friends then we would gladly offer up sleeping space... but we are booked.. It hurts seeing all these people with all of their precious possesions desperately looking for anywhere to sit and watch this damned hurricane develop... I wish the best to all involved and I wish the best to my favorite city in the whole damned world

Oh my gosh, that's so scary! We'll all be thinking about everyone down there and hoping everyone stays safe!

What part of East Texas are you from? Just wondering because we live just outside of Beaumont. We flew over here to Orlando on Thurs night for my son's graduation and are supposed to fly back tomorrow. It's not looking good right now. :distress:

I live outside Longview... on the way to Shreveport.... According to local weather we've got some pretty bad thunder storms heading our way... it's ugly outside.... it's all green.. and an eerie calm... like before a tornado...
Our electricity keeps flickering.. it was out most of yesterday as well... we've had some light showers.... but nothing too serious as of yet... besides the gigantic tree that fell on my moms car... if you want my opinion.. I would stay put... I wouldn't want to be in a airplane at this particular moment in time...
I wish you all the luck in the world.


The Eagles are on NBC right now... Life's been good to me so far.. I love Joe Walsh..... I have a conscience...paid for it all....

Well.. i'm outta here!! I need to unplug the computer and all that jazz... we're about to loose the damned electricity again... it's gonna be hot.
