shut us down by CVB

okay, if you don't know the Camper Van Beethovensong with the same title as lindsey's new song, you can download a audience-recorded live-version here

http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-d...m=dayInHistory

if that link doesn't work maybe this one helps

http://www.archive.org/download/cvb2...6b-t22_vbr.mp3

go to audiofiles shut us down and download the MP3 in the last column
(2.0 MB)
I like it a lot, and i think it will suit lindsey very well. Ofcourse I'm hoping for something brand new, but this would be cool. And because they covered all of Tusk it is a serious possibility......

Thanks Gerald!!

It's too much of a coinky-dink for his song to be titled that with the whole CVB remaking Tusk thing. I bet it's the same song.

*off to listen*

If this is it, what a perfect song for Lindsey! I can see him choosing it as a little homage to CVB. I'd like to see him perform it. Thanks for the download link.

Thanks for the link. It seems like a pretty cool song.

Thanks for the link Gerald!

yeah, I like it too.

And the irony is fun too. They cover the whole album Tusk in one weekend. Lindsey covers a 70 second CVB song in 9 months. :D

no, maybe it isn't true at all.

Written by LB?

Where can we find out if he wrote it? Some Ledgies have posted information regarding copyrights or something for music written by Stevie, Lindsey and Christine before. Can someone find that info out?

The US Copyright Office currently has no submissions for new music from Lindsey. The last submissions were last year for some of the previously unreleased song from the special edition discs.

This does not mean it is not his tune, but does lead one to make a more educated guess about the songs origin.

Funny you asked about that, because as soon as word spread about the new song, I checked the US Copyrights site.
I didn't bother to post about it though, because, like JohnRun said, there's nothing new there for Lindsey.

Doesn't mean that this is definitely a cover though.

Thanks guys!!

Well, well, guess we'll have to wait a little while longer.

tuigirl 08-27-2005 12:55 AM

Heck yeah...I can see this as a great song for him to have a go at (or have written even..maybe).It's kind of Gift of Screwy-ish. Here's hoping if it is this song..he makes it last a lot longer, than the 1 min or so wer'e hearing :D
