Miss Cleo
I was just reminiscing about all those psychic ads that were in the gossip rags a few years back, (Some still are) and my thoughts drifted to my personal favorite, Miss Cleo. I mean, talk about funny!!!! the only thing more funny is that anyone would call her or anyone elses 900#. It's too bad that these people are able to keep up their fraudulent activities, although as someone once said "There's a sucker born every minute...."

haha I remember Miss Cleo, she finally got her dues and got sued for some big amount or something, and went out of business

I remember Miss Cleo. "Call me now for your free reading!"
This reminds me......when I was about eight or so I went on a rampage calling the psychic/horoscope numbers found in the back of TV Guide. I racked up over $100 in charges, and my parents nearly died when they received the phone bill. |

I got into tons of mischief with the phone as a kid. My dad is an insurance agent, and for awhile, he worked from home. I used to call his companies, pretending to be a clinet. At this one company, I discovered that one of the underwriters' name sounded very similar to Al Pacino. It was like Al Pacciani or something. So, I used to call and leave messages on his voice mail. The funny thing is, he didn't know it was a kid playing a joke. He'd call our house while I was at school and ask for "Kris." He called several times before my mom convinced him the only person in our house he would need to speak to was my dad. The best part is, I didn't get into trouble. My parents thought it was funny. |

I can't think of any funny stories of trouble I got into as a kid. Well, there was that time when...oh man am I actually going to share this on the internet? Once during naptime in kindergarten, during which I was doing anything but sleeping (I'd like to have those naptimes back now, please) these two boys were fascinated with the whole boy/girl thing and wanted to see me without any clothes on. Being the nice, obliging, and apparently shameless little girl I was, I went bottomless for them. They just stared in awe. And I most certainly did get into trouble for that. :o   |
Miss Cleo lives in my friend's neighborhood...I see her walking her dogs all the time!!!
And talk about a fall from grace...she does a local car companys commercial... |
