How I met Ailcia
 

I read a post from Ailcia (Haunted Song) in the rumours section, and I think I'll share the story of how I met her. The morning after the Cincinnati Dance show in '97, I was getting into my car to go to Detroit for the show that night, and there was a note on my window. I picked it up and it read "I was at the Dance show too!! was in Columbus on Wednesday night. My Illinois liscense plates are EDGE17." She must've moticed my Minnesota plates FMACFAN on my car. Anyway, I wrote a note back saying that maybe we would meet down the road and Lightning Strikes, maybe once, maybe twice. Fast forward to the Enchanted show in Chicago the next year, and while wandering through the crowd, I noticed this lady with a jean jacket with a beautiful picture of Stevie on the back. I approached her and said how much I liked her jacket, we made small talk for a few minutes, and before I left I told her I was from Minnesota. Her eyes got as big as saucers, and she asked me what my Liscense plates said, and I told her. She said "OMG, I'm the person that left the note on your car last October!!!!" And Alicia and I have known each other ever since. I mean, what are the odds of that happening? SHe's a really nice person, and I thought I'd share that interesting story about how we met. I guess lightning really does strike twice.......... Thank you Stevie :angel:

Yes, my sig photo is one I took from the "Say You Will" tour -- I love those tambourine shots! I also used it on my Christmas cards last year. Thanks for the compliment...I can e-mail you a full size photo of it if you'd like! :D

Did you go to the Madison show last year, and then down to Champaign??? My friend and I saw FMACFAN plates on a car, I think possibly from Minnesota, and we even tried to get your attention because we were having a blast, on our little road trip tour, just being a couple of silly girls trying to get another Mac fans attention! How funny is that? And, my plates on my truck say FMAC FAN, too. :laugh:

Alicia, I would love it if you could email me the full photo as well. Honestly, I think it is one of my all time favorite photos of Stevie. The action shots are what I tend to like best....add in a tambo and whoa, I am sold.

You know, maybe one day Stevie will hook me up with a man who shares the same passion for her that I do. My current situation is not going well for that very reason, and I've made up my mind that will not happen again. Either he likes Stevie or at least understands my interest, or HIT THE BRICKS HONEY!!! :D
