Las Vegas, Nevada (AHN) - The hard rock band Velvet Revolver will enlist the services of studio session drummer Mark Schulman who has played with Cher, Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Foriegner, and Billy Idol.

The drummer will fill in for Velvet Revolver and former Guns-n-Roses drummer Matt Sorum who fractured his hand in a recent boating accident. His injury forced the band to cancel an appearance on the ABC late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Schulman will take over the drumming duties for the band starting with the Aug. 20 show at the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Cool!

Cool Livia! Thanks for posting! Did you see Scott Wyland on the John Lennon tribute, kicked major tail!! I love the way he sings too. :wavey:

Yes! I LOVE him, and I love VR! I'm tempted to go to Ozzfest in San Antonio just to see VR again!

Is he the drummer who played with Stevie in Vegas?

VR was awesome on Live 8, Slash was Mr. Cool with his smoke hangin' out of his mouth while photographers were trying to take his pic., Scott was singing & dancing his a$$ off - I loved it! That'd be the greatest to go see them in San Antonio - "do it do it do it!"

He was on the entire TISL tour.

My favorite VR site: If you poke around, maybe they've still got the BBC interviews w/ Slash and Scott right when they came offstage at Live 8.

I "borrowed" this avatar from someone who posts on their boards:
