The Rolling Stones (tickets | music) have unleashed a limited number of on-stage tickets for the band's upcoming "A Bigger Bang!" tour, which launches Aug. 21 at Boston's Fenway Park. "Fans purchasing on stage tickets will have an intimate and extraordinary view of The Rolling Stones and their view of the audience while becoming part of the backdrop and set," said a press release issued by the band. The tickets, priced between $75 and $250, plus applicable taxes and fees, went on sale Friday morning (8/12) via Ticketmaster, according to the Stones' official website. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.) Additional tickets will be sold via the band's fan club, and will be awarded in contests, according to the press release. On-stage tickets are only available for the band's upcoming stadium performances, including Hartford, CT; Ottawa, Ontario; Detroit, MI; Moncton, New Brunswick; Chicago; East Rutherford, NJ; Toronto; Pittsburgh; Hershey, PA; Charlottesville, NC; Durham, NC; Anaheim, CA; San Diego and San Francisco. |
Heard what Arnie and Ameriquest are pulling at the opening Fenway show for his re-election campaign? It's downright disgusting and the Stones came out the other day to say they have nothing to do with it and don't support his campaign.

Schwarzenegger to rock with Rolling Stones http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory...e/jump/3309048 Associated Press SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Concert tickets for major acts are costly, but $100,000 to see the Rolling Stones? That's the price to join Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in a luxury box at the Stones' Aug. 21 show at Boston's Fenway Park. The event will cap a multistate fundraising swing that begins next week for Schwarzenegger's Nov. 8 special election. Schwarzenegger will host a private reception for 40 guests who give $10,000 each to his campaign account. Guests contributing $100,000 apiece will be invited to watch the concert with Schwarzenegger in a luxury box. The concert event was arranged after mortgage lender Ameriquest, the lead sponsor of the Stones' 2005 tour, offered Schwarzenegger more than three dozen center stage and luxury box seats. A company spokesman refused comment to the San Francisco Chronicle. Fran Curtis, the Stones' publicist, said the band had no role in the governor's fundraiser. |
The Stones played here the other night in a small club as a warm-up for the tour and to thank Toronto, pretty cool.
