Songbird downloads, including Sandra Bernhard version

The Fleetwood Mac Legacy website has 4 versions of "Songbird" available for download this week. There's a 1978 live Fleetwood Mac version, a 1984 live solo version, Eva Cassidy's album version & an amusing version by Sandra Bernhard of all people. Just click on SOTW on the left side of the page, then right click and save target as.

okay, is it wrong of me to not hate the Sandra Bernhart version? It wasn't half bad!!!! I even got weepy at the end like I do whenever Chris sings it. weird.... It must be a Pavlovian response LOL.

Funny how Stevie nearly took out her eye while she was twirling w/ those shawls. ;)

Well, I wouldn't go that far. But, it is pretty funny. I wonder if Chris is aware of this version. I wonder if she's even heard of Sandra Bernhard.

She might have seen her on UK TV in the Roseanne show.

She's retired, although she put out an excellent album last year.
Here's her website:

That reminded me of the song "It Must Be Love" by Rickie Lee Jones. Do you know that song or quote from it?

i have her new music but i'm like others who are looking for her music from her chicken shack days also. but what i'm most interested in lately is how is she doing now? where does she live? does she even go out in public anymore? etc. etc. ? i'm just like any other fan who is desperate to ever get to see her perform again (you know, the same stuff you regulars hear over & over again).

Christine is pretty much retired and has said she won't perform live again.
She lives in Kent near Canterbury in England. I've not really heard any stories of her being spotted much down there but she does venture out every so often, she went to one of the Fleetwood Mac shows at Earls Court for example.
Sounds like she's happy enough though.

You might want to check out the Blue Letter Archives on this website. Christine did some interviews/articles last year to promote her solo album. There's quite a bit about what her life is like now.

You can even download & listen to several radio interviews that she did. For the first website, just click on website addition, go down to audio downloads & you'll get her World Cafe interview, then just save target as.
