We Have a VERY famous Ledgie!

  DID you know?! I just found out! They get hounded for autographs and photos and everything!

Okay here is the story. Last night, after Stevie in Vegas, Ledgies in Margaritaville, I am going back to my car and get stopped by a group of Japanese Tourists with a baby carriage in tow. They are not drunk, (as far as I can tell). They then proceed to hound me for autographs and for photos with them. (WTF?!?!) I try to explain I am a nobody. They don't want to believe me and keep asking (very sincerely). Okay, I will play along until the Japanese Candid camera pops out. "Looky, dumb american being stuiped". If nothing else maybe they will go away. So I sign, and "snap" "snap" pictures. The girls giggle and point ...etc. The rest very thankful. (He is so much taller in person). And then go on their way.

Now I know Brad Pitt and I are often confused together (Yeah...right) BUT I DON'T LOOK LIKE ANYONE FAMOUS AND HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY THOUGHT I WAS! Maybe it was left over "Stevie Magic" or something.

Very dumb, but thought I would share.....

I thought you looked a little like Joey (Dave Coulier) from Full House

I was stopped in Paris by some random Chinese woman (I don't believe she was Japanese) and her husband. They wanted to take my picture and in exchange, she gave me a beautiful book mark with pressed flowers in it (which I still have -- it's incredibly cool). I guess they just like the look of Americans? Too bad Joe (DownonRodeo) wasn't there to translate.

OMG - that is hilarious - I can just imagine your utter confusion as you pose for pictures with the random Japanese people

Shit...

sounds like the German's who come all the way from overseas to Oklahoma to ride down ol' Route 66...They think anyone they meet is some famous cowboy, Which is hilarious as hell.

Dreammms 08-07-2005 01:50 PM

GateandGarden 08-07-2005 02:12 PM

That's too funny guys. I think I may have mentioned this before, but I was stopped on a NYC street once by a guy who thought I was Justine Bateman. (Mallory from Family Ties). And the guy was Chinese!
