Viewpoint Media Player - autoDL - WTF!
 

i come back to my computer and find that Viewpoint has installed itself on my computer, wtf? i googled it and it seems like semi-spyware. anyone else have this happen? it's supposedly bundled with software that i don't have. wtf?

why is this company allowed to auto-install without consent?

I had this happen to me too! It was a few years ago, and was hidden amongst the software that runs my CD burner (Nero, I think...).

I just uninstalled it. But then later, when I got Spybot S&D, it found hidden executables (or something) that Viewpoint had left behind & blocked them.
