Gov. to Be Paid $8 Million by Fitness Magazines
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...home-headlines
Two days before he was sworn into office, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger accepted a consulting job paying an estimated $8 million over five years to "further the business objectives" of a national publisher of health and bodybuilding magazines. The contract pays Schwarzenegger 1% of the magazines' advertising revenue, much of which comes from makers of nutritional supplements. Last year, the governor vetoed legislation that would have imposed government regulations on the supplement industry. Full article at the link. |

Schwarzenegger ends deal with fitness mags http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/07/....ap/index.html |
I wonder if that means he'll now ACCEPT his $178,000 governor's salary?
what a hambone. |
Christ Almighty. And someone like me who needs about 9-G's to accomplish a life-goal has to work his arse off everyday for it.

here's the thing: The Governator is making a big (as in HUGE) deal about the fact that he is rejecting his Governor's salary of $178k/yr when all the while he's had this consultant's gig with these magazines, therefore in actuality, he's NOT hurting and he's making a big deal about how he wants to GIVE BACK to the state that launched his career....what a load of hooey............ :(
