Big Achievement For Me!

Hey guys...I was away last week at a Youth Parliament.

It is a great programme run by the YMCA where a group of 80 teenagers go off to Parliament House and debate legislation we had been working on for the last six months....my bill got passed! I am so proud because so much work went in to it and I also got in the local paper!

Anyway I just wanted to share...and show you the pic, coz it's a good one :blob1:

Well done Tynan!
What was the bill you got passed?

Our bill was securing more rights for casual workers, at the moment the only job security they have is from industrial awards, so we had it legislated that a casual worker must get no less than 9 hours work a month...in awards at the moment the minimum is generally set at 3 which is stupid really because no one can have any form of income on that, even a student like myself.

Awesome! Congrats! :wavey:

Problem is everyone is calling me Kim Beazley now :(

Congrats and great pic by the way!

Congratulations! :woohoo:

Congrats, Tynan! That's awesome.

Congratulations! That's really quite the accomplishment. Excellent picture too!

Congratulations, Tyan!

You should be very proud of yourself. :)

That's great!

When you've worked on something so hard and it pays off, total gratification. I bet you're feeling good right about now.

Awesome!

Congratulations, Tynan!
