Stevie on "My Back Pages"
 

A few months before the Rumours lineup taped "The Dance" in Burbank, Stevie was a guest at a Don Henley benefit in Phoenix for an environmental cause & sang one of my favorite songs, "My Back Pages." She also sang "Dreams" & "Rhiannon."

Is "My Back Pages" on tape?

I was at that show (March '97) and she didn't sing this song. She sang Dreams, Landslide, Rhiannon, and Leather and Lace. Also came out for the encore and sang a Byrds song with Roger McGuinn, Bruce Hornsby, and Henley.

There was an evening performance (I was at afternoon) but I read about it and didn't see a mention of this song. Where did you hear she sang this?

Stevie only sang on the chorus and you couldn't hear her very well.

I'm still waiting for Stevie's version of "Black Velvet" to turn up somewhere. :p

I have the benefit on cassette (don't know why I never transferred it to CD). Give me a little bit to transfer it and then MP3 My Back Pages. I'll post a link when it's done.

Do you Henley fans also have the two September 1985 benefits Henley organized with Jackson Browne? Stevie Nicks was a guest at both. One was in Los Angeles, which I taped, & the other was in Arizona, which I didn't tape. Do you have tapes of those (Mulholland Tomorrow & Sanctuary) & if so, what's the quality on them?

I have the LA Mulholland Tomorrow benefit, which is probably the same one you have. The quality is pretty good....very listenable. I love it when Don rants about the environment. :) I didn't know they also did a show in AZ. Don't have that.

Here is it. You really can't hear Stevie at all. BTW, she also did Landslide in her set, along with Dreams and Rhiannon and of course Leather and Lace with Don.
