Birth Size?

I was 7 pounds 3 ounces, and 23 1/2 inches long. (My younger brother got to be the kid with all the body fat.)

So, how big were you at birth?

:shrug: My mom kept a baby book. I'm not sure if that's mainly an American thing to do. (I know, I sound like an ignoramus -- "Do they have Christmas in France? Kerrist-mussss" :lol:)

I figured premature from the weight, but I've never heard of that kind of disparity between length & weight. Most people are surprised that I was so long & only 7 pounds, but your case sounds much more extreme. :wavey:

I was 6lbs. 8 oz. and 20 in. long.

My Sara was born 11 weeks early and weighed 2lbs. 12oz. and was 15 3/4 in. long. I find it odd that Taken was 20 in. long, too!

i was 5 & 1/2 lbs~

I was 6 lbs, born at 6 a.m. on 6/7/66 :shocked: Missed being a 6/6/66 baby by 6 hours! No lie...

I think I was 8 lbs 7 ounces when I was born. I was a fat baby. :laugh:

:) My daughter was born 9 weeks early and weighed 3lbs and 11oz and was 17 inches long. Now she's seven and nearly as tall as me! (5'1")

'Twas a scary, scary time, but all is great now.

Oh, and I weighed 6lbs and ??oz. Can't remember how long. I'm sure I was short. :cool:

I weighed 7 lbs 10 oz & was 21 inches long. I was also completely bald until I was almost 2. :)

8 lbs 7 oz. and 21" -- my mother had me c-section and ended up with some sort of infection afterwards. So, the nurses fed me with a bottle for the rest of the time I was in the hospital (apparently I didn't want to work for it). By the time they bought me home, I was 9 lbs :laugh:

I was 8 lbs. and 12 oz., and 20 inches long. I was a little butterball. :woohoo:

I was 7 lbs. and 13 oz. I was 21 1/2 in. long. :angel:

6 lbs. 13 oz. - 21 or 22 in. long - can't remember, I'd have to consult my baby book, w/ my birth announcement in it.
