Stevie Contributions...

Most of you all have probably heard these songs.. but somehow I'd missed them. The Legacy right now has up for download four Walter Egan tracks that Stevie sings on - Finally Found a Girlfriend, Just the Wanting, The Blond in the Blue T-Bird, and Tunnel of Love. And Crystal illusions has sound boards of her with Bob Welch doing Hypnotized (okay, this one I'd heard and love) and Ebony Eyes.

The Walter Egan songs are amazing - I love Stevie's voice on them, especially Finally Found...

What do you guys think of them? Is Walter Egan still around?

Q

I have the Walter Egan CD with all of those songs on it. I bought it ages ago and understand it's pretty popular on ebay now. Magnet and Steel is also on this CD.
The Bob Welch CD is commercially available and a good show. Gold Dust Woman is on it too. Most of the other members of FM show up for Hypnotized. It's definitely worth checking out.
Also, I think both Walter and Bob have done Q&A's on The Penguin.

I forgot the URL for Crystal Illusions. Are Ebony Eyes & Hypnotized from Cal Jam 2 or from the 1981 Roxy show?

I play the Egan CD every now and then while I'm driving. I like the harmonies on Just The Wanting.

They're from Cal Jam 2.

Sorry - I should have included both URLs. Here they are:

The video of Stevie's Ebony Eyes performance at Cal Jam is one of my faves.

Okay, thanks. I have that "soundboard" of Cal Jam. It's basically a nice CD bootleg. It's not really soundboard, but it's a good clear recording. It's a six-disc set with great photos & everybody's set. It has eight songs from Bob Welch's set, & Stevie is on Hypnotized, Sentimental Lady & Ebony Eyes.

You Heart fans might be interested in Heart's set, which has fourteen songs. Also the set has Dave Mason's set, Nugent's set, Foreigner's set, Santana's set (yes they do Black Magic Woman), Mahogany Rush's set & Aerosmith's set.

My set says it's a limited edition #240/300, but that could just be a come-on.

OH god, best Stevie ever. Just so cool.

The MAJOR bummer about that TV footage that aired is that they CUT OUT about half of Ebony Eyes!!! What horny bastards.
