SPOTLIGHT ON

Stevie Nicks

What: Yes, Stevie Nicks was the most famous face in music's most famous soap opera of a band, Fleetwood Mac. And yes, she is fond of long, flowing gowns and scarves. But here's some less familiar stuff about Nicks:

• She was born Stephanie Lynn Nicks on May 26, 1948, in Phoenix.

• In 1973, she and her lover/bandmate, Lindsey Buckingham, posed nude on the cover of their debut LP, Buckingham-Nicks. Despite the naughtiness, the album flopped.

• She attended the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve party in Louisville in 1999.

• What's she singing in that 1981 song Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove)? According to her official Web site, www.nicksfix.com, the lyrics go like this: Just like the white winged dove sings a song, Sounds like she's singing, Whoo, whoo, whoo. Just like the white winged dove sings a song, Sounds like she's singing, Ooo, baby, ooo; said ooo.

• You can ask Nicks questions on her Web site, but be cautioned, the site says: "Stevie will answer questions as her schedule permits."

• Nicks will be in concert with Vanessa Carlton this week in Cincinnati.

When: 8 p.m. Tue.

Where: Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati.

Tickets: $23.25-$75. Through TicketMaster, (859) 281-6644 or www.ticketmaster.com.
