Cleveland show - Possible SPOILERS

My thoughts on the Cleveland show

Although my first choice to see Stevie would be a small intimate venue like HOB or Nautica ( in my dreams ), Blossom is a great place to see a show. The sound was excellent; nice acoustics in the wood covered pavillion. I didnt have the greatest view ( 8th row but way off to the left side ) so I watched the screen mostly. I think I am going to start a campaign called "front row seats for the vertically challenged" Im 5'2 and my 11 year old neice is just a few inches shorter than me. We were trying every possible angle to see through the peeps in front of us  The crowd was great though, it seeemed like most everyone was standing for the entire show ( Stevie's set) even the slow songs. Very enthusiastic had the lighters out and everything
Not completely sure but I think Joe Walsh was sitting behind a curtain on the left side
Vanessa Carlton was alright, not really my cup of tea. My neice enjoyed her set ( I did mention that she is only eleven though JK ) so it was cool.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice a sexual theme in Stevie's warm up music? That's the way love goes (check out the lyrics) Your body is a Wonderland (uhhuh) and Bootylicious
Stevie was really on : She smiled a lot and put a lot of inflection into the OTR-Dreams intro
I enjoyed the clips of the IAF video during enchanted
I thought her and Waddy had a lot of chemistry on SDMHA (platonic just friends chemistry  )
I thought Rhiannon was more rockin than last saturday at DTE
Sorcerer- not a fave
I actually missed Don Henley on GDW
During SB my neice wanted to go by a Teddy Bear so I missed part of it, but it sounded good over at the merch stand
INTK had a lot of energy to it
HAEWAFY isnt one of my favs - but it was for a good cause and Joe was there :)
CIRCLE DANCE was greatness - She really got into singing this song and it was very touching - THis is where the show really started to take off for me.
FFG was intense a real highlight
Eof17 was well edgey and a lot of peeps in front of us moved up to the stage- We were able to move to the side aisle and get a good view of Stevie shaking other people's hands :( :xoxo: but she was getting into it at the end of the song which was cool to see
ROCK & ROLL was the absolute highlight of the night - she kicked this songs ass tonight- was great to witness it. If anyone ever has the pleasure of speaking to Stevie they need to tell her how much we enjoy the covers, new music, rare tunes, etc. If she or FM would ever make a concert dvd of that stuff it would be my most prized possesion.
BATB not as good as last week in Detroit but still nice change of pace doing an emotional ballad after a scorching rocker.
All in all a couple of well spent saturdays but now I'm broke

Thanks for the review. That's cool that Joe was there. Btw, the LZ song is Rock and Roll. I knew Stevie could do LZ, even though others seemed to think I was crazy. She has the stuff.

Thanks for the review. I agree with you about the short people being in the front row! I really hope that someone got "Rock and Roll" on a video clip or audio. I have to hear it! Of course she is not coming back to New England. :distress:

Hello everyone. I was at the show last night at Blossom. My husband and I drove up from Pittsburgh. I was suprised that the place was so empty. I guess I am used to see the entire lawn covered when I see her at the Post Gazette. I ended up getting front row (section 12, A seats 5 & 6) on ebay and it was amazing. My husband and I both got to shake Stevie's hand. This was my 4th time seeing her solo and the first time that I got to shake her hand. It was also my first time getting front row. It was great being able to stand right up against the amps. Jana and Sharon were basically right in front of us. My husband was drooling over Jana. Stevie rocked the house and looked HOT HOT HOT in her pants. She kicked the **** out of the Led Zeppelin cover and I thought that GDW, Stand Back and Fall From Grace along with Edge were out of this world. Even though there werent many people at the show Stevie found a way to work this crowd. It was the most fun I had since last year seeing FM at Camden.

One more note: My husband kept talking about Stevie's chest after she shook our hands for the edge walk. It was too funny. He also commented on how skinny her legs are. She looks great and I agree that she definitley lost some weight.

Did anybody out there get some pictures of Stevie doing the Edge walk? Of course I forgot my digital camera at home. Figures!! If you do please e-mail me at [email protected].

Josh, were you at the show? If so what kind of shirt did you have on?

Hey Josh, That is good that you are going to Cincinnati. I am jealous!! HA HA. I hope you have a great time. I saw some guy there that I thought might have been you and I was going to say hi but it is a good thing I didnt. I would have looked like such an A**.

We just got back today from last night's show, and it was my absolute favorite one of all. We had second row seats, and at the beginning when "Bootylicious" started playing, a bunch of people from the first row ran up. These nice people in front of us moved their seats so I could get up there too. Apparently I was super lucky, because a bunch of other second row seaters went up and the security guy pushed them back. Then he was checking everyone's tickets but passed over me for some reason! So I spent the whole show up at the edge of the stage, and had the best view of Stevie ever.

She was on fire! Absolutely gorgeous, beautiful outfits, and the voice was so strong and solid. All of the songs were wonderful. Maybe my least favorite was her opener OTR, but even that was great. She has such a warm smile and total sex appeal at the same time - kind of a weird combo! The hula dance, high kick, and twirling were all fun to watch.

Finally, during the "edge rush," all of these people came up behind me and were pressing into me so hard that I told the guy next to me not to let me get trampled! (Hubby wasn't fast enough in the beginning to get to the edge of the stage.) When she came around to me, I reached out hard with both hands because she was going behind my head, but then she took both of my hands and smiled the sweetest smile. Of course I yelled out, "I LOVE YOU STEVIE!" What a dork I am, but it's the truth! :D After that, the LZ song and B&B were just icing on the whole cake.

So it was an exhausting evening, but such a memorable one. I have tix to DC too, but not as good seats, so I'm so glad I shook her hand yesterday.

One more thing - I made eye contact with Waddy and the bass guitarist (not sure of his name) and they both smiled at me. That also made my night (especially Waddy!).
