Cruise clashes with Lauer on 'Today' show

http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...t/11980135.htm

The transcript from The Today Show.
"Lauer: I'm only asking, isn't there a possibility that — do you examine the possibility that these things do work for some people? That yes, there are abuses. And yes, maybe they've gone too far in certain areas. Maybe there are too many kids on Ritalin. Maybe electric shock —

Cruise: Too many kids on Ritalin? Matt.

Lauer: I'm just saying. But aren't there examples where it works?

Cruise: Matt. Matt, Matt, you don't even — you're glib. You don't even know what Ritalin is. If you start talking about chemical imbalance, you have to evaluate and read the research papers on how they came up with these theories, Matt, okay? That's what I've done. Then you go and you say where's the medical test? Where's the blood test that says how much Ritalin you're supposed to get?'

What an irresponisble idiot. My ex's brother was a paranoid schizophrenic, if only he would have thought about vitamins and exercise. He went off his meds once for a while and started throwing furniture out of his 3rd story window.

Does he know how much of an idiot he seems like to everyone these days? He used to be a somewhat respected actor and now he has turned into this... over the hill media hungry freak.

OMG, thanks for pointing it out.

I'm going to have nightmares, too. That's the only movie that gives me the heebie jeebies. I try to tell myself that it's only Tim Curry, but it doesn't work.

Yes, yes, Tom Cruise is nuts, he doesn't believe in taking medication, he's gay and so closet, blah blah, etc.

As I've mentioned before, my husband just spent 6 months in Narconon. I just graduated with a degree in Psychology. I spent an evening arguing Psychology and medication with a staff member at Narconon. It's sick, SICK.

I don't know why I found that so amusing, but it gave me a much needed laugh.

Talk about an effort in futility...

I was told flat-out at the "church" in Boston that modern psychology was evil.

I think we should take a group of schizophrenics and manic depressives, take them off of their medications, and let them go live with Tommy for a while.

Brooke shields recently said something along the line of "Tom should shut up and stick to saving the world from aliens."

"If Tom wants to come see me in Chicago, I've left him two tickets- one adult and one child."

According to them, anything can be controlled with the mind and their little machines (but they don't talk about that too much). I guess if you think about it hard enough, you can wish away your delusions and voices.
