For Any Fellow Walter Egan fans out there:

I'm not sure if there are any fellow WE fans on this forum, but just in case I thought I'd post the information about his newest release. It's a double-length re-release of HiFi and The Last Stroll with all new liner notes and two bonus tracks, one of which is an acappella version of "Magnet and Steel" with LB and SN on backing vocals.

You can buy it directly from Walter (who will most likely autograph it for you) by sending a money order for $22.50 (made payable to Walter Egan) to:

Walternative Recordings
912 Rebel Circle
Franklin, TN 37064

Anyone interested in a version of Magnet and Steel (don't know if it's the same Walter, S&L one from this album) but Nancy has it over on her website as a weekly download. It's quite good, although I much prefer Matthew Sweets version in the long run (bit more lively) :)

i love walter, thanx for the info!!!~

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out.

I haven't heard MS's version of the song. Somehow, though, I seriously doubt that I'd like it over the original. I'm just a little biased towards Egan. :)

Edit: The download at Nancy's site appears to be the original studio version from Not Shy. The bonus track on the new disc is different.
