Say You Will

One of the reasons SYW is my second favorite Fleetwood Mac album to Tusk is that while I see all of these so called "Dinoasur Bands" sit on their butt's and either constantly tour without any new material or make lame albums that sound like their just waiting to cash a check on their name, Fleetwood Mac in my opinion absolutely did neither of those things on SYW. Every time I listen to that cd, I am amazed at how inspired and fresh these recordings sound to me. I look at it as that they combined some of the best elements of Romours and Tusk on SYW. I realize that I'm not a musical expert by any means, but that's how I feel on the subject. BTW, Rumours is a close 3rd for me, and I know I'll get some angry responses to that one, but that's ok. I can live with that. I just like a band that still gives a damn at their age. We can all be proud that we are their fans :D

I totally agree. I was thrilled with SYW, especially Lindsey's tunes. Excuse me, make that thrilled and amazed. :) Awestruck? Electrified?

I am still blown away by the dance. It remains my fave.

Rumours, Tusk are a close 2nd.

I would go with Say You Will after those two.

Say You Will is my favorite Number One Fleetwood Mac album. Especially Stevie's tracks. They rock (save Silver Girl). And even Lindsey's tunes which are either too mainstream for me (Rumours and Mirage) or too insane (Tusk) has found a happy medium. Great album!

Best track for me is Illume! What a masterpiece!!!

I agree on everything. I'm also blown away by Goodbye Baby, Destiny Rules, Miranda and Smile At You. Those songs are prisms of different emotions. Amazing. Say You will is definitely my favourite, and the more I listen to it, the more I discover in it.

Romy

Tusk will always be my baby :xoxo: , but SYW is in my top 3. Rumours is fun, but closer to the bottom.

The reason I can't get into Say You Will is that the engineering bothers me for a couple of reasons. I think it was something that Lindsey & Mark were going for, but it doesn't do it for me.

tusk has always been my favorite, but i was so very impressed w/ say you will, it showed me that the mac doesn't have to be done, they still have it & i am so grateful for that!!!~

Absolutely agree 100 percent. SYW is an amazing album and the fact that they actually took the time to record it at all when they could just tour with no reason (cough Eagles)

One of the things I like most about 'Say You Will,' is that it marries my favorites aspects of 'Tusk' with my favorite aspects of 'Tango,' while sounding completely fresh and exciting.

I was thrilled with the album when it was released, and I'm still thrilled with it two years later.

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that, Curt! :distress:
Don't worry though -- I'm sure it'll turn up.

I don't think I could lose 'Say You Will' if I tried... I own three copies (regular version, collector's edition, and DVD-Audio)!

No worries. I'm so into Justin Tranter right now, I don't mind losing SYW.

My friend went out and wasted her money on the DVD-A version without even owning surround sound. She claimed she could hear a difference.
