Someone suing the Birmingham Mac show 2003
Being a big Mark Knopfler fan (Saw him twice at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this month and he was awesome) I was browsing the usual Knopfler related sites and I came across this comment on Guy Fletcher's (MK's keyboardist www.guyfletcher.co.uk ) site regarding the show they played at the Birmingham NEC on the 4th June 2005.
"On to the final show in the UK for this tour. It was such a hectic week at the RAH, Birmingham NEC seemed SO quiet. I think we were all a bit tired after the London run as we found on-stage concentration quite difficult. During the show, we all noticed security adopting a familiar policy of preventing people from standing up ANYWHERE near the front. They did this for the entire show which I thought was unnecessary, however we found out later that there was a reason for this. Apparently during a recent Fleetwood Mac show, some of the audience came to the front for a dance......a pair of bright sparks who had bought tickets in the front row decided to sue the venue because their view was being obstructed! Unbelievable. For the sake of all future seated music shows in the UK, I hope there's no way they succeed." Typical of somebody! There's always someone that wants to just sit quietly and just watch the show... BUT NOT ON THE FRONT ROW!!!!! Use your intelligence please and in future select a seat further back... I hope if you are reading this, whoever you are, you will have the sense to drop this pathetic lawsuit.. :wavey: |
Ppppfffftttt!!!
Sue this.
Whatevah. That's absurd. If you wanna see, get a lower balcony seat, dumba$$. |
