While I agree with you and think that is a logical argument, the far, far left cannot abide anything W has done at all, ever, under anycircumstances and wish ill on the people who voted for him no matter their reasoning - thus, good luck with this argument
Sadly, the rank hyposcrisy of it is the far. far left seemingly all LOVE Kerry and Kerry (along with the majority of D's) has voted with W on just about every main issue there is, including the so called illegal Iraqi war (I have yet to see why it clearly is illegal though I think we should not have gone in until the UN finished its task) and I never tire of pointing out that Kerry was calling for the US to do something about SH at least as of 98, when Kerry vehemently promoted bombing Iraq based on essentially the same evidence as W used to invade it. I get that unlike W, Kerry then did not then call for an all out invasion but still submit that distinction was without a difference to the thousands of innocent Iraqi's who dies in those bombings and Kerry (and Clinton) relied on essentially the same evidence to do that. Moreover, Kerry gave W the authority to invade Iraq and then foolishly claimed he did not know W would misuse that power - I mean I knew it and I am not a high ranking Senator. So, why is it murder when W does essentially the same killing and Kerry gets a free pass just because he is not W or Republican?
Moreover, Kerry is far from liberal as that word used to be defined (no same sex marriage, no abortion at any time, no no holds barred affirmative action, etc. ) Yet, when someone points that out, it is as if they said "I love W" I mean I voted for Kerry solely because I hate W's policies, but I knew damn good and well, Kerry was just Bush lite (and not the beer) and, at the time and not, freely admit that I was a hypocrit for doing voting for Kerry because he really, like W, represented nothing I believed in.
Oh Well - hypocrisy and politics go hand in hand.
Note - I despise W and his policies. But, I think that voting for Kerry hardly was a step up or at least too far from voting for W.
