Stevie's Drummers
This may seem like a weird question, but I just want to know if anyone knows this. Why are the drummers in Stevie's band surrounded by glass or plastic? It looks kind of weird. Does it make the sound better or something? Maybe a drummer might know the answer to this. They did a really good job, btw, at the Philly show.

The plexiglass acts as a shield to help control the sound onstage and keep the drums from overpowering/bleeding into the other instruments.

Thanks, that's really interesting. I don't think I've ever seen Mick use this.

my brother is a percussionist and a lot of them put a folded up rug or a blanket in the bass drum to damper it a bit, in order to get a better sound depending on what type they are shooting for.
